Haywood Idol Now Open for Singers and Musicians!

Performers will step up to the stage and give it their all during a live show from 2:30-5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, in the Apple Orchard Building. The audience gets to be part of the fun by selecting three People’s Choice Awards, one from each age group: 7-12, 13-18 and 19 and older — in both vocal and instrumental categories.

To enter, contestants must submit a video of their song by Sept. 18. New this year is the opportunity to feature musical talents as well — whether it’s banjo pickin’ or singing while playing the keys.

The three People’s Choice winners will score $50 each; the three Judge’s Choice winners get $100 cash; and the grand champion will receive a voucher for a trip sponsored by Time to Travel inc. for a hotel in a tourist destination in Tennessee.
